Agreement
These terms apply to your use of Worthwise (the “app”), provided by Summit City Digital Solutions LLC (“we”, “us”). By tapping “Agree & continue” in the app, or by using it, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app.
What the app is
The app is a personal record-keeping tool. You type in your own accounts, balances, holdings, income and expenses, and the app adds them up, charts them over time and runs calculations on them.
The app doesn’t connect to your bank, broker or any other financial institution. It can’t see your accounts and can’t move money.
Your figures are only as accurate as what you enter
Every total, chart, ratio and projection is calculated from the figures you enter. If a balance is out of date, mistyped or missing, the results will be wrong too. Check anything important against your official statements.
Market prices for holdings come from third-party services. They can be delayed, missing or wrong, and the app can’t guarantee them.
Projections, simulations and estimates (for example the FIRE plan and its FI number and date, Monte Carlo odds and safe spending, debt payoff, what-if scenarios, tax buckets, savings rate and peer benchmarks) are based on assumptions such as rates of return, fees, inflation, withdrawal rates and tax rates. They are illustrations, not predictions, and real results will differ.
Retirement income you enter, such as Social Security, a state or work pension, rent or part-time work, is your own estimate. The app doesn’t look up or verify benefits; check them with the agency or plan that pays them (in the US, ssa.gov). Taxes on withdrawals are shown as one average rate and early-withdrawal penalties aren’t modeled.
Not financial advice
Nothing in the app is financial, investment, tax, legal or accounting advice, or a recommendation to buy, sell or hold anything. We are not licensed financial advisers. Before making financial decisions, consider talking to a qualified professional.
You are solely responsible for the decisions you make, including any based on what the app shows you.
Your data and backups
Your data is stored on your device. If you uninstall the app, clear its data, erase it from Settings, forget your PIN, or lose or reset your device, your data can be lost for good unless you have a backup. Keeping backups is your responsibility; the app offers JSON and CSV exports.
Pro purchase
Some features need a one-time Pro purchase. Purchases are processed by Google Play and are subject to its terms and refund policy. Pro is tied to the store account used to buy it and can be restored on another device signed in to that account.
Features may change over time. We aim to keep everything you paid for working, but we can’t promise that every feature will stay exactly as it is.
Acceptable use
Use the app only for your own lawful, personal purposes. Don’t try to reverse engineer it, misuse the data sources it connects to (for example by sending automated requests through it), or interfere with how it works.
If you add your own key for a market data provider, you get that key from the provider yourself, and your use of it is subject to that provider’s terms. We aren’t responsible for the provider’s service, its limits or changes to its free plan.
No warranty
The app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted or error-free operation.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, money, profits or opportunities, arising from your use of the app or reliance on anything it shows. Where liability can’t be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim.
Some places don’t allow these limits, so some of them may not apply to you. Nothing here takes away rights you have under consumer law that can’t be waived.
Changes
We may update these terms. When we make a significant change, the app will ask you to agree again before you continue using it.
